海外での販売数も年々増えてきている ActiveImage Protector ですが、台湾のパートナー General Advanced Technology Inc.（GATI）が、台北にて5月9日（水）に「Security and backup（セキュリティのサイレンを鳴らして、バックアップのインフィニティ・ウォー）」と題して、ユーザー様向けセミナーを開催しました。セミナーの様子を写真と共に送付してくれましたのでご紹介します。

今回のセミナーは、「セキュリティの脅威とその対策」、「Cloudへのバックアップ」、「新バージョン ActiveImage Protector 2018」についての講演でした。

カナダ西部の ウィスラー リゾート（Whistler Resort）は、2010年 バンクーバー冬季オリンピックの競技会場として、一躍有名になりました。場所は、バンクーバーの北、約130kmです。ここでは、オール シーズンにわたり、種々の非日常的な体験が出来ます。

それでは、「五月のウィスラー」、行ってきます！

①東京～バンクーバーの直行便が満席の場合は、シアトル（アメリカ）乗継で行ける。

シアトル空港で見たアラスカ航空機。垂直尾翼のマークが面白い。

②③ウィスラーのブラックコム山（Blackcomb Mountain）の中腹以上では、五月中頃まで、まだまだスキーが可能だった。

④⑤ヘリコプターで行く氷河観光ツアー。氷河に着陸してランチ。まさに非日常的体験！

⑥乗馬ツアー、ウエスタン スタイル、牧場主の愛犬も同行。

⑦雪解けで増水した川へ！足を取られないよう、馬たちも緊張している！揺れる！

⑧ワンコは、川底に足が届かなくなり、犬掻きで必死に追う（右下）。

⑨大いに遊んだ後、スーパーマーケットへ。野菜や果物が美味しい。

⑩《重要！！》ポケモン トレーナーの皆様へ。

カナダやアメリカに行った際、北米限定の「ケンタロス」（英語名 Tauros）その他を捕まえるのを忘れないように！！

Hi, this is Fe@NJ, who has passed Second Grade of Timetable Test in Japan.

From this month, I am going to be in charge of “the overseas travel enriching our life” series, six stories in total.

Whistler Resort in western Canada has become more famous as a venue for the Winter Olympic Games 2010 in Vancouver.  The location is approximately about 80 miles / 130km north of Vancouver.  You can experience various remarkable experiences throughout the year herein.

Now, shall we go to Whistler in May!

①When the direct flights between Tokyo and Vancouver are fully booked, you can go and transfer in Seattle, United States.

I find an aircraft of Alaska Airlines of which the vertical tail mark is very interesting.

②③Until mid-May, skiing was still possible at the ski slopes beyond the middle of Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler Resort.

④⑤A glacier sightseeing tour going by helicopter.  After landing on the glacier, it is lunch.  It is a very extraordinary experience.

⑥Participated in a horseback riding tour, attached western horn saddle.  The rancher’s dog followed us.

⑦We entered the river which had risen due to thaw.  Horses were nervous so as not to take their legs.  Shake ‘n shake!

⑧The doggy could not reach the bottom of the river bed, and desperately pursued demonstrating the dog rush for maximum effect (lower right).

⑨After special plays, then, to the supermarket.  Fresh vegetables and fruits are very delicious.

⑩《IMPORTANT》To all Pokémon Trainers

When you go to Canada or the United States, do not forget to catch Tauros’ (Japanese name: Kentaros) and the others which are available in North America only!

2018年5月18日(金) 大宮ソニックシティにおいて、「DIS ICT EXPO 2018 in 大宮」の展示会に、キッティングツール「ActiveImage Deploy USB」とイメージバックアップツール「ActiveImage Protector」を出展しました。

世界一簡単なキッティングとシステム保護

• 出店概要

USBメモリー単体で1クリックでマスターイメージを作成し、復元可能な新しいキッティングツール「ActiveImage Deploy USB」をリリース。規模問わずに簡単な運用を可能とするシステム保護ソリューション「ActiveImage Protector」。

今回、初めて展示会で紹介するキッティングツール「ActiveImage Deploy USB」への反響の高さに驚いています。まず、「ActiveImage Deploy USB」の特長を簡単に説明すると、１つめは、USBメモリーを起動環境とし、マスターイメージの取得や展開を1クリックで簡単に行うことができます。

２つめは、マスターイメージの取得や展開に、「ActiveImage Protector」のイメージングエンジンを使用していますので、非常に高速に処理することができます。参考までに、今回のデモ環境で用意した、約60GB容量のPC環境のマスターイメージの展開処理は約5分程度で完了します。

３つめは、コストです。まず、価格について、例えば100ライセンスの場合の単価（定価、税別）は1,660円とリーズナブルな価格設定になっています。また、従来のキッティングツールで必要とされる、配信サーバやネットワーク環境、作業するための広い場所は不要となります。それと、従来のキッティングツールの操作には、それなりの熟練が必要となりますが、「ActiveImage Deploy USB」はUSBメモリーから起動する設定だけですので、だれでも操作可能です。

お客様の反応として、新しいキッティング方法として、「ActiveImage Deploy USB」の採用を検討したいという声を多くいただきました。また、“多量なPCを出荷する際のキッティング作業は時間との戦いもあり、だれでも操作できそうなので、いざとなったら営業でも戦力になりそうですね。”と半分冗談交じりにお話をされていました。

それと、気になったのが従来のキッティングツールへの不満の声の多さです。弊社も昨年まで販売を行っていた立場ですので、なんとも言い難いですが、「ActiveImage Deploy USB」がPCのキッティング作業に少しでもお役に立てればと感じた次第です。

私の出身は、埼玉県の田舎ですが、少し都会の大宮には、よく遊びに行ったものです。

展示会場の受付前です。開場前に、こっそり撮影させていただきました。

ネットジャパンの展示コーナです。シンプルでいい感じですね。

「ActiveImage Deploy USB」のデモに使用したNEC様のノートPCです（特に、宣伝料はいただいておりません）。約60GB容量のPC環境のマスターイメージの展開は、なんと約5分程度で完了します。

友達に誘われて、休みの日、秩父に遊びに行ってきました。

一部の区間で激しい渋滞が発生していたので、東京から車で片道3時間半、やっと最初の目的地（和銅遺跡）に到着！

ここで、銅が見つかったことがきっかけとなり、日本最初の流通貨幣「和同開珎」（わどうかいちん）が作られるようになりました。宝くじを当てたい方必見と言われています。

こちらが、遺跡の高さ5ｍの巨大通貨です。

和銅遺跡について書かれた看板もあり、歴史の勉強にも役に立ちます。

お礼参りの方からの小銭が置いてありました。

お昼は珍さんと達明さん2人の発起人から名付けられた秩父の名物－珍達そば

様々なメディアが取材に訪れる名店！

一つの特徴は新鮮なネギ！

お腹も満たされたので次の目的地の羊山公園まで15分ほど歩きました。

公園の名の通り、羊さんもいます。

芝桜満開！

公園内、「秩父特産市」も開催しています！

最後は、羊山公園のうち北側のブロックにある見晴らしの丘から秩父市街地が一望できました。

ご愛読いただきました「人生を豊かにする鉄道の旅」シリーズ全６話ですが、早いもので最終回となりました。

１．今回は、新潟県 新潟駅 と 山形県 酒田駅 の間、約２時間半（約170km）、日本海沿いに走る『快速きらきらうえつ』号（以下、「きらきらうえつ」と略記）をご紹介します。きらきらうえつは、引き続き今年度も、原則、毎週末に運転される予定です。また、臨時で、最長、秋田県 秋田駅 まで運行されることもあるようです。

２．「きらきらうえつ」の特徴は以下のとおりです。

（１）全車指定席の快速列車。運賃に加え、指定席券（520円･･･例外日あり）が必要。

（２）４両編成で、両端２箇所に展望室を備える。

編成は、酒田方より

１号車   普通席＋展望室

２号車   ラウンジカー

３号車   普通席

４号車   普通席＋展望室

（３）日本海・田園風景・鳥海山等の眺めが十分楽しめる。

特にお勧めは展望室のすぐ後ろの席。

３．私たちが乗車したのは、八月の延長運転日で、運行区間は 新潟駅 ～ 秋田県 象潟（きさかた）駅でした。

日帰りで全区間の往復だったため、象潟の滞在時間は２時間弱でしたが、タクシー利用にて、早足で観光しました。

象潟駅周辺は、鳥海国定公園の一部であり、素晴らしい自然をエンジョイしました。

①『きらきらうえつ』

新潟駅にて。10時過ぎに発つ。シャツとシューズの色を、列車とマッチング！

宮城県の松島（日本三景）のような「多島の潟」（『九十九島』）であったが、1804年の象潟地震（推定最大震度６～７）による隆起で、「潟」が陸地となったもの。かつての「島」は松樹とともにその面影を残し、元の潟は稲田となった。

⑨蚶満寺（かんまんじ）の山門（市指定有形文化財）

境内に、当地を訪れたとされる俳聖・松尾芭蕉（まつおばしょう）の句碑がある。

How time flies and it is the final stop of “More Abundant Life by Railway Trip” Series, of six accounts.

1. Let me introduce a train, “Rapid Kirakira Uetsu“, serviced between Niigata, Niigata Prefecture and Sakata, Yamagata Prefecture, (approximately 2 1/2 hours, 170 km / 105 miles) along Sea of Japan, is scheduled to be operated on weekends, as a general rule. Moreover, it seems that it is also occasionally run to the longest, Akita of Akita prefecture.

2. Features of this train

(1) All seats are reserved.  It is necessary to purchase not only the applicable basic fare ticket and also the reservation seat ticket in the amount of 520 Yen with exceptional days.

(2) A four-car train has observation rooms at both ends.

The Car Layout is as follows:

Car no. 1: Ordinary Seats and Observation Room（For Sakata, on this side）

Car no. 2: Lounge Car

Car no. 3: Ordinary Seats

Car no. 4: Ordinary Seats and Observation Room

(3) You can experience the wonderful view of Sea of Japan, the rural landscape and Mt. Chokai.  The seats just behind the observation room are highly recommended!

3. We boarded it on the day of August between Niigata and Kisakata, Akita Prefecture, to be extended. Although it is tight to take a day and round trip in all sections, and the staying time in Kisakata is less than two hours, we could take a taxi and went sightseeing quickly.

The area around Kisakata Station is part of Chokai Quasi-National Park and we were impressed by the wonderful scenery.

It looked like Matsushima, one of the Three Most Scenic Spots of Japan, Miyagi Prefecture, as a kind of archipelago, a lagoon with many small islands.  Notwithstanding, the lagoon was landed by uplift due to Kisakata Earthquake in 1804, of which the estimated maximum seismic intensity was 6 or 7 on the Japanese scale.  Then, it has become rice fields, while the former islands have left that shadow with pine trees.

今、日本は空前のペットブームだそうですね。
皆様の中にも犬や猫を飼っている方が多くいらっしゃることと思います。

ペットの数が子供の数を上回ったとか、猫の数が犬を上回ったとか、
可愛いペットの動画やCM、テレビ番組には事欠きません。

ところで、皆様どのようにペットを迎えていますか？
ペットショップですか？それともブリーダーからですか？

私は十数年前に初めて犬を飼う時に、ご縁があり信頼できるブリーダー
から犬を迎えましたが、犬と生活する中で、日本のペットを取り巻く
飼育放棄等の様々な問題を知りました。

解決には時間のかかることですが、「自分に出来ること」から継続
していきたいと思います。

「自分に出来ること」

その1：自分が飼っているペットを終生大切にする。
大切な家族ですので当然のことですが、これが一番大切だと思います。
若く元気な時を一緒に過ごしたあと、あごの毛が白くなりはじめた
年老いた愛犬の愛おしさは格別です。

その2：ペットを迎える時は、保護犬、保護猫を選択肢に加える。
4年前に迎えた人生初の猫は、自分で保護した野良猫でした。
最初の何日かは部屋のすみに隠れて出てきませんでしたが、
少しずつ距離を縮め、今は近くで掃除機をかけても全く気にせず
寝ている立派な家猫です。

動物愛護団体や最近では自治体でも保護犬、保護猫の新たな
飼い主を探す取り組みを活発に行っています。
動物愛護団体や自治体では、一頭一頭の個性を把握して譲渡して
いますので、迎える前にどんなコなのか性格を知ることもできます。

縁あって迎えたペットですので、これからも楽しい時間を過ごしたい
と思います。

１．磐ばん越えつ西線さいせんの快速『ＳＬばんえつ物語』号（新潟県 新津にいつ駅～福島県 会津若松駅）（以下、「ばんえつ物語」と略記）ですが、冬期運休が終了し、今年は３月３１日に運行が再開され、秋まで、原則、土日に運行される予定です。

２．「ばんえつ物語」の特徴は以下のとおりです。

（１）日本国内の蒸気機関車（ＳＬ）が牽引する「ＳＬ列車」の中で、最長の運転距離（片道約111km）を誇る。

（２）客車７両編成・全席指定席で、両端２箇所・中間の１箇所に展望室を備える。

編成は、会津若松方より

ＳＬ（会津若松行きの先頭）・・・往路の進行方向↑

1. A rapid train, “SL Ban-etsu Monogatari“, (abbreviated as “Ban-etsu Monogatari”) serviced between Niitsu, Niigata Prefecture and Aidu-Wakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture via Ban-etsu Sai Line, shall be resumed on March 31 this year, after the end of the suspension holidays in winter. It is scheduled to be operated on weekends, as a general rule, until fall.

2. Features of this train

(1) It is proud of the longest run (approximately 111 km / 69 miles) for one way during the trains powered by steam locomotive (SL) in Japan.

(2) This 7-car train, of which all seats are reserved, has observation cars/rooms at both ends and at the middle.

The Car Layout is as follows:

SL（For Aidu-Wakamatsu, on this side）(Progress direction of outbound travel ↑)

Car no. 1: Observation Car

Car no. 2: Ordinary Car

Car no. 3: Ordinary Car

Although it is tight to take a day and round trip in all sections, you could visit at Tsurugajo Castle (national historic site) in Aidu-Wakamatsu, as a quick sightseeing by taxi.
